Getting started
Open-source Effect libraries and tools from Kutur Labs.
Kutur Kit is a set of open-source Effect libraries and development tools from Kutur Labs. Packages are published separately, so install only the ones you use.
Start with a running example
You can try both guides in your browser without credentials, Docker or a database. Each includes the full runnable TypeScript source.
Enforce a permission
Switch callers and token scopes, attempt an edit and inspect the audit entry.
Store a file in memory
Write, read and delete a file. See what happens when an overwrite exceeds its size limit.
How the packages fit together covers what each package is responsible for and what the memory implementations do not test.
Install a package
Packages are currently published under the alpha tag. Install the packages you need:
pnpm add @kutur-kit/access@alpha effectEach package page lists the Effect version it is tested with, along with storage adapters and other peer dependencies. APIs may change between alpha releases.
Libraries
@kutur-kit/access
Effect permissions as services: typed checks, caller restrictions, list filters and audit.
@kutur-kit/assets
Typed asset definitions and swappable object storage for Effect.
@kutur-kit/audit
Typed audit events for Effect, with PostgreSQL storage through Drizzle.
Development tools
@kutur-kit/oxc
Oxlint and Oxfmt presets for TypeScript, with optional Effect rules.
@kutur-kit/tsconfig
Strict TypeScript presets with optional Effect diagnostics.
Before deploying
The examples use local memory to make the behavior visible. In an application, derive identity from verified authentication, choose persistent storage and test transaction or signed URL behavior against the deployed adapters. The guides explain which parts to replace.
If you are new to Effect, start with the Effect documentation.
